The downside - once the hot water has been used up, you will have to wait for it to reheat. They're also big and bulky so if you are limited on space, this may not be the best option.

System boilers

Also commonly referred to as sealed system boilers, these have a cylinder but no water tank making them smaller than Conventional Boilers, but still have the downside of limited hot water supply. You can, however, use multiple taps at the same time which does help if you have a big family!

Condensing boilers

Available in all the aforementioned types, condensing boilers feature the added attribute of being able to capture and reuse some of the heat it puts out. Because they’re so energy-efficient, they’re a great way to save money on electricity bills.
